Rob Schipper

After completion of his technical education at the Royal Dutch Navy, Rob Schipper served for 11 years with the Submarine Service. There he worked both as a Project Manager and as Chief Engineer.

In 1998 he switched to commercial sea shipping and started sailing as Chief Engineer on board of ocean-going tankers. He subsequently worked as a technical Superintendent at the same tanker company.

From 2006 until 2012 he gained wide experience as maritime and technical surveyor at a Rotterdam based survey company.

Subsequently, he held various management positions, including Manager Ship Management at a Dutch tanker company and as Technical Director at a Shipping company in Hong Kong.

As of 1 March 2021, Rob returned to the maritime and technical surveyor profession and we are pleased that he is strengthening the Doldrums team.
